As many of you are aware, Pastor Dave has challenged our church body to commit to reading through the New Testament during the month of January. This morning as I sat down to begin this journey, I looked on the computer for Bible sites to see what I could find. The site below is one that I found. I must confess that I read slowly and will often become board with my reading and stop. This is an audio version of the Bible. As the gentleman is reading, I am reading along in my Bible. I must tell you that this morning the first 9 chapters of the Bible came alive to me. If you are like me in your reading, you might find this as a useful tool. I found that if there was something that I did not understand, I would not just pass over it. Hearing it and seeing it made me stop at the end of the chapter and search my study Bible for commentary on what I had just read.

 

I checked out the church website and there is more information there on different on-line sources for reading through the Bible. Go to the website and check out the 2008 Bible studies for more details.

 

I hope that you will join in this challenge and be blessed as I have been this morning. I am excited to see what God has in store for us Single Ladies in 2008.

Let's not forget that we are here to serve and not to be served. It is such a blessing to serve in a child's Sunday School Class, Children's Choir, Power Time, or a Missions Group. The children of ARBC are blessed to have wonderful leaders of all children's groups and classes. They can always use volunteers to work. The preschool department is really growing. If you want to be blessed, volunteer to be a Preschool Sunday School Teacher or an Extended Session worker. You will be glad you did!
