Dear Church Family,

 

In behalf of Linda and myself I would like to take a moment to thank you for the many, many expressions of your love and kindness that we have received over the last few months. We honestly do not feel we could have made the progress we have made in our bone marrow/stem cell transplant without the prayers of our dear family of faith at Ashley River. God knows our every need and many times fulfills the answer to that need through the lives and love of His people. I cannot imagine going through what we have and are going through apart from the love and prayers of a church family. The wonderful song, “My Tribute,” begins with the words “How can I say ‘Thanks’ for the things you have done for me? Things so undeserved, yet you give to prove your love for me…” While this phrase is obviously referring to the incredible love of our Lord Jesus, it can so easily be applied to the love action of His people as well. The only response we can have is to love you back with all the love we are capable of giving.

 

Our journey is not over. We don’t know exactly where we are, yet, in the healing process. However, we do know that we are not alone on the journey and have not been alone. Thank you for your faithful intercession in our behalf. We continue to cherish your prayers for the days ahead. While I am asking of you for continued prayers, please remember the others in our church family who are struggling with similar physical challenges or emotional needs. Our God is a big God who loves each of us as He loves all of us.
