Our Core Values

Doing All In the Spirit of Joyful Excellence

Gospel

We value connecting people to Jesus Christ through the life-changing power of the Gospel as revealed in God's Word.

I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.  For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith." (Romans 1:16-17)

Worship

We value worship experiences that are a dynamic expression of spirit and truth in which we praise and encounter God in response to the Gospel.

"God is spirit, and His worshippers must worship in spirit and truth." (John 4:24)

Community

We value connecting people to each other in deep and loving relationships centered around Jesus Christ.

"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." (John 13:34-35)

Discipleship

We value connecting people to the lifelong process of learning to have the heart, head, and hands of Jesus Christ and equipping them to make disciples of others.

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. (Colossians 2:6)

Ministry

We value connecting people to an awareness of their spiritual gifts and providing opportunities for developing and using those gifts in service of others.

...so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. if a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. if it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully. (Romans 12:5-8)

Missions

We value connecting people to personally sharing their faith and to the mission of reaching Charleston and the world with the message of Jesus Christ.

Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth had been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. (Matthew 28:18-20)
